So Here’s Me

“Different” has always been the best word to describe me. It just runs in my blood.

I started realizing it when I turned three. Other kids would go running outside to play outdoor games. I preferred staying at home watching them stumbling upon their own feet through the window.

It was around the age of six my friends loved to think they were ‘naughty’. They would set up pranks like tripping down their friends at school. And there I was, placing a scissor hanging upside down on their chairs. I never understood why my ‘victims’ cried over that simple prank. There was this red liquid from their bodies I was very curious about.

I was finally able to see the same liquid pouring out from my body during a car accident I got involved when I was nine. Its color was beautiful and it tasted delicious. I didn’t tell my parents about this, of course. Because I was old enough to know that I didn’t get the word ‘”different” by genetics. They would just act like the others–looking at me with the same weird gaze without saying anything, and then suddenly treating me as if I were a monster. So, I kept everything to myself.

Until I turned sixteen yesterday. My friends have already started putting on makeup and dressing up nicely since forever, and as a girl, I also want to look pretty.

So here’s me, standing in front of the mirror. A sharp knife in my right hand. An excited smile showed up on my reflection.[]

What to call this? A flash-fiction?

Yeah, probably this is one, and if so, it will be my first ever flash-fiction. Whoa.

This is actually something I wrote in the class during some boring lessons I couldn’t keep my attention on. It has been collecting dust in my bag since days ago, so I think… why not post it here? Lol.

Oh, and it’s also an English writing practice for me, since I don’t think I can wait any longer for those. I wanna be able to write better so bad, so here I am, trying to write as many English short stories as possible. I might post them here too, if you guys wanna read. But I don’t even think you would wanna respond to that question, so….

Anyways, that’s it. I’ll be coming back with the first chapter of ITSBTC soon. Bye!
